Set on the steep hill behind Lorne, this large beach house enjoys panoramic views along the cliffs toward Aireys Inlet. Cantilevered concrete roof and floor planes rise and fall across the site and project out towards the ocean. The architecture and landscape are designed in harmony with expansive green roofs, planter boxes and vines intended to soften the house in its hillside context.
Extensive glazing is juxtaposed by slender clay brick walls that anchor the house and create a secluded garden where outdoor entertaining areas overlook lush landscaping and a circular swimming pool.
