Not A House

The emphasis of this new building was not on a house but a free standing, multi-functional studio space to add amenity to the client’s existing home. With a focus on yoga, there is also a dedicated gym space, workshop and billiards/kitchenette room, as well as a changing room and individual locker storage.

The simple gable form sits within the existing residential streetscape. Externally, the single material and colour enhances the purity of the form, while inside, the peaceful minimalism of the space is enhanced by the cathedral ceiling and full height glazing with garden views.
