Surf House

Located on the dunes at St Andrews Beach, this family home is inspired by the existing timber house and 70s architecture. The house sits on a reclaimed brick podium set into the dune, while laminated blackbutt timber and steel rafters form a raw and robust superstructure.

Exterior walls are clad in timber board and battens, juxtaposed with expansive glazing to embrace the ocean views. Natural robust materials such as slate floors, reclaimed bricks and timber work in harmony with the surrounding native coastal landscape.
