Shutter House

In this four-bedroom coastal holiday home, two storeys at the front are juxtaposed by a predominantly glazed pavilion to the rear. Connected by an informal entry and a north facing courtyard, a series of operable panels animates the west-facing front facade, providing sun protection and shelter from prevailing sea breezes.

The bedrooms and a lounge are at the front of the house, while the rear pavilion, which features a raised ceiling, clerestory windows and opens out to an outdoor entertaining area and generous rear garden, is home to the main living spaces.
