Talmalmo House

  • Category Architecture
  • Year In Progress
  • Location Talmalmo, NSW

Situated on a rural property with vast view lines across the Murray River, this dwelling offers a secluded space for its inhabitants with vistas of the water at every turn. Elongated masonry forms connect and quietly sit amongst the landscape as you enter and embrace the river views as you walk through.

The exterior masonry walls extend and extrude to form blade walls, providing privacy and choreographed views. The gable roofline centres the house and speaks to the vernacular of rural properties and the nearby existing and operational farming buildings. This home offers a place for retreat, for family and guests – a quiet escape.
